Last year, on the 20th of May, our Association, together with other HR associations internationally, celebrated for the first time International Human Resources Day (IHRD).
The initiative was established by the European Association for People Management with the main goal of creating awareness for recognizing the contribution of HR professionals locally, as well as enhancing the development of the profession internationally.
Together with the European Association, we launched the campaign with the moto “HR connecting people and organizations”, as an effort to recognize our hard-working professionals in supporting employees and their companies to adapt on the new era and challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic crisis.
CyHRMA celebrated with a series of actions that run until the end of May:
1. Social Media Campaign
2. Email announcement to the Members of the Association inviting them to participate
3. Run a webcast event on the HR day (20th of May) with the topic ‘’Strengthening the Employee Experience During COVID19: Choosing Uncertainty or Choosing A Positive Employee Experience in this very VUCA Time”, with the renowned researcher and professor Mr. David Cohen as a key-note speaker. The webcast was co-hosted with the SLRNetwork managed by the Cyprus Employers and Industrialists Federation (OEB). The SLRNetwork is formed under the projected co-funded by the Cyprus Republic and the European Social Fund, titled “Sound Labour Relations, Contemporary Enterprises”.
