Upon completion of her studies at London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), Maria Stylianou Theodorou was employed by the Cyprus Employers and Industrialists Federation (OEB). In 2013 she was promoted to the position of the Head of Research and Strategic Planning Department which was renamed in 2016 as Research and European Programmes Service.
Maria has a broad experience in the field of HR while at the same time she holds the position of Project Manager of Co-funded Projects in the field of HR and Employment Relations (www.slr.com.cy & www.investorsinpeople.com.cy) As part of her Project Manager duties, Maria also coordinates the Network of Professionals in HR and Employment Relations (SLRN) in Cyprus.
At a national level, she is a Member of the Apprenticeship Council and a Member of the Monitoring Committee of the Operational Programmes for ‘Competitiveness and Sustainable Development’ and ‘Employment, Human Resources and Social Cohesion’ as well as the Bilateral Cooperation Programme Interreg “Greece – Cyprus”
At a European level, Maria is representing the Cypriot enterprises (as the employers’ representative) at the Advisory Committee on Vocational Training and the European Social Fund Committee of the European Union. She is also a Member (alternate) of the Board of Directors of the European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training (CEDEFOP).
