The following Terms of Use apply to everyone that engages with the Cyprus Human Resources Management Association (CyHRMA) on internal and/or external social media sites, blogs and/or forums. The CyHRMA works to promote the Human Resources Management profession and assist professionals to share HR related information and experience therefore the intent of these Terms of Use is to help maintain a meaningful, constructive and transparent discussion on human resources issues on social media sites, blogs and forums.

The above public networking platforms were created to provide a space where people can share HR-related information and experience. We require all users to show respect and use good professional manners towards all other users when making any postings to the above platforms.
The following Terms of Use apply to anyone accessing and/or posting to CyHRMA social media sites, blogs and/or forums:
1. General Social Media Terms of Use
By using or accessing any of the CyHRMA social media sites, blogs and/or forums, you agree to comply with these Terms as well as other engagement rules related to each specific social media platform (e.g. Facebook Statement of Rights and Responsibilities, Twitter Terms of Use, etc.). We may revise these Terms of Use as well as other specific engagement rules at any time without notice. Your use of or access to the CyHRMA social media sites, blogs and/or forums after any such changes constitutes your agreement to such changes. If you do not agree with these Terms of Use you must not use or continue to use the CyHRMA social media sites, blogs or forums.
All posts must be made by people who are 18 years of age or older.
2. Posting
The above list only serves to provide examples and is not meant to be an exhaustive list of the type of unacceptable uses of the CyHRMA social media sites, blogs and/or forums that may result in the restriction, suspension or termination of your use of the CyHRMA social media sites, blogs and/or forums. Due to the global nature of the Internet, users hereby agree to comply with all local rules regarding on-line conduct and acceptable content.
3. Submitted Materials
Any information or material submitted that you send to us or post on or through the CyHRMA social media sites, blogs and/or forums will be deemed not to be confidential, secret or proprietary. You agree that any information or materials submitted by you to the CyHRMA social media sites, blogs and/or forums, whether ideas, creative concepts or other materials, in any format, including, but not limited to, writings, images, illustrations, audio recordings, and video recordings, may be used, reproduced and disclosed by the CyHRMA without restriction for whatever purpose we deem fit and without payment of any sum or acknowledgement of you as their source. The CyHRMA shall have no liability for any loss or damage suffered by you as a result of use or disclosure of such materials by us to the extent permitted by Law. This paragraph does not affect any rights you may have under data protection laws that protect your personal information, to the extent that such rights cannot be excluded.
4. Rejection, Deletion and Modification of User Submissions/ Postings
The CyHRMA reserves the right to, and may or may not, monitor/screen user submissions prior to posting them to the social media sites, blogs and/or forums. You acknowledge that CyHRMA has no obligation to use or post any submission you submit. CyHRMA reserves the right to reject any submission that we determine does not meet any of the criteria set forth above. CyHRMA also reserves the right not to accept any submission for any reason, or no reason at all, if in its discretion, CyHRMA does not believe that the submission is appropriate for social media sites, blogs and/or forums. CyHRMA may not advise you as to the reason why your submission was not accepted. Furthermore, CyHRMA reserves the right to modify all submissions, add or delete any documents, information, graphics or other content appearing on or in connection with the social media sites, blogs and/or forums.
5. Intellectual Property Rights
The CyHRMA assumes no liability for errors or omissions in any material on CyHRMA social media sites, blogs and/or forums. It is your responsibility to evaluate and confirm the accuracy of the information provided by other users on or through CyHRMA social media sites, blogs and/or forums. The opinions expressed in CyHRMA social media sites, blogs and forums are not necessarily CyHRMA’s. Any statements, advice and opinions made by participants are those of such participants only. We shall not be held responsible for any statements, advice, opinions or other content or materials on our social media sites, blogs and forums. You release us from claims and demands of every kind and nature, known and unknown, howsoever arising out of or in any way connected with a dispute with another user of CyHRMA social media sites, blogs and/or forums.
Any content, information or material posted to a CyHRMA social media site, blog and/or forum (“Postings”) will be deemed not to be confidential or secret but public information available to everyone. You understand that personal and other information (e.g., username, email address, phone number) that you post on or through CyHRMA social media sites, blogs and/or forums is generally accessible to, and may be collected and used by, others and may result in unsolicited messages or other contact from other users. You should not include any personally identifiable information about yourself or any other person in any Postings. We reserve the right to, but do not have any obligation to remove any Postings that contain personal information. We shall not be liable for the use or misuse of any information or data, including personal information that you post on our social media sites, blogs and forums.
You represent and warrant that your Postings are original to you, do not infringe on another party’s intellectual property rights, are not obscene, vulgar, offensive, malicious, discriminatory, defamatory or otherwise unlawful, that no other party has any rights thereto, and that any “moral rights” in your Postings have been waived. You hereby grant us a royalty-free, unrestricted, worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive fully transferable and assignable right and license to use, assign, copy, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, perform and display such Postings (in whole or part) and / or to incorporate them in other works in any form, media, or technology now known or later developed for editorial, commercial, non-commercial, promotional or any other purpose. You reserve the right not to grant CyHRMA the right of use of your Postings for any purpose and as a result CyHRMA have the right to deny you the access to its website.
You have the right to request the deletion or destruction of Postings at any time. We are not responsible for maintaining your Postings and CyHRMA may delete or destroy them at any time.
We respect the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe that your work has been copied in a way that constitutes IP infringement, please go to the Contact us section on to submit questions or comments regarding such issues.
6. Third Party Links and Resources
Where CyHRMA’s social media sites, blogs and forums contain links to other sites and resources provided by third parties, these links are provided for your information only (‘Linked Sites’). Links to Linked Sites do not constitute an endorsement by or association with CyHRMA to such sites or the content, products, advertising or other materials presented on such sites. CyHRMA have no control over these Linked Sites and do not edit or monitor them.
You acknowledge and agree that CyHRMA is not responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage, loss or cost caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with use of or reliance on any such content, goods or services available on such Linked Sites. No website may be linked to the CyHRMA social media sites, blogs and forums or their pages without our prior written consent.
7. Your account and Password
If you choose, or you are provided with, a user identification code, password or any other piece of information as part of CyHRMA security procedures, you must treat such information as confidential. You must not disclose it to any third party.
The CyHRMA has the right to disable any user identification code or password, whether chosen by you or allocated by CyHRMA, at any time, if in our reasonable opinion you have failed to comply with any of the provisions of these terms of use.
If you know or suspect that anyone other than you knows your user identification code or password, you must promptly notify us at info@cyhrma.org.
8. Access
We do not guarantee that our social media sites, blogs and/or forums, or any content on it, will always be available or that use of such media sites, blogs and/or forums will be uninterrupted. Access to our social media sites, blogs and forums is permitted on a temporary basis. We may suspend, withdraw, discontinue or change all or any part of our site without notice. We will not be liable to you if for any reason our site is unavailable at any time or for any period.
You are responsible for making all arrangements necessary for you to have access to our site.
You are also responsible for ensuring that all persons who access our site through your internet connection are aware of these terms of use and other applicable terms and conditions, and that they comply with them.
9. No reliance on information
The content on our social media sites, blogs and/or forums is provided for general information only. It is not intended to amount to advice on which you should rely. You must obtain professional or specialist advice before taking, or refraining from taking, any action on the basis of the content on our social media sites, blogs and/or forums.
Although we make reasonable efforts to update the information on our social media sites, blogs and/or forums, we make no representations, warranties or guarantees, whether expressed or implied, that the content on our site is accurate, complete or up-to-date.
10. Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless the CyHRMA, its independent contractors, service providers and consultants, and their respective directors, employees and agents, from and against any claims, damages, costs, liabilities and expenses (including, but not limited to, reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to (a) your use of the CyHRMA social media sites, blogs and forums; (b) your violation of these Terms of Use; (c) your violation of any rights of another; or (d) your conduct in connection with the CyHRMA social media sites, blogs and forums.
11. Limitation of Liability
You expressly understand and agree that in no event shall the CyHRMA, including its licensors, be liable for any damages whatsoever, including any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special or exemplary damages, and any damages for loss of profits, savings, goodwill or other intangible losses, regardless of whether the CyHRMA had been advised of or could have foreseen the possibility of such damages, arising out of or in connection with: (a) the use, inability to use of the services of the CyHRMA social media sites, blogs and/or forums, or (b) any unauthorized access to or modification to any of your content or transmissions, or (c) any other matter relating to the CyHRMA social media sites, blogs and forums.
We will not be liable for any loss or damage caused by a virus, distributed denial-of-service attack, or other technologically harmful material that may infect your computer equipment, computer programs, data or other proprietary material due to your use of our social media sites, blogs and/or forums or for your downloading of any content on them, or on any website linked to them.

12. Severability
If any provision of these Terms of Use shall be deemed unlawful, void or for any reason unenforceable, then that provision shall be deemed severable from these Terms of Use and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions.
13. Trade Mark
CyHRMA is a Cypriot registered trade mark of the Cyprus Human Resources Management Association.
14. Applicable Law
These terms of use, their subject matter and formation, are governed by Cyprus law. You agree that the courts of the Republic of Cyprus will have exclusive jurisdiction.
